Sean Bean ran away from a film set after he got bored – to go welding.

The ‘Lord Of The Rings’ actor – who is currently filming upcoming thriller ‘Outlaw’ in England – sparked panic among producers when he vanished.

A full scale search was launched and the runaway star was finally tracked down to a near-by metal workshop, where he was welding.

Stunned shop-owner Chris Holmes said: “He just walked in and said he fancied getting back into welding. He asked if he could have a go.

“He wasn’t too bad. He burned a few holes in his white T-shirt. He was quite nostalgic.”

Bean, 47, even left behind an “autographed” piece of metal with three kisses burned onto it.
