HOLLYWOOD actor Sean Bean has revealed he is to stand down as a director of Sheffield United, admitting he is more comfortable on the terraces than in the board room. 

The lifelong Blades fan, invited on to the board by chairman Kevin McCabe in 2002, said: “The club has come on leaps and bounds in the past five years and I’m proud to have played a small part in that. But I know my place is out there with the fans.”
