Police were called to the home of movie hardman Sean Bean to settle yet another alleged bust-up with his wife.

In the latest of a series of “domestics” between Lord Of The Rings star Bean and Georgina Sutcliffe, neighbours heard screams of: “Police! Call the police!”

Concerned neighbours dialled 999 and officers raced to the couple’s 2million home in Belsize Park, North London, to find a heated row going on.

Bean, 50, was not arrested and police left after Georgina, who is 19 years his junior, was collected from their home by her mother.

“An ambulance had been called but nobody was taken to hospital.

A source said: “They were screaming at each other but it seemed to get serious when neighbours heard someone shouting for people to call the police.

“Officers were here within minutes and seemed to calm the situation down. There was clearly no violence involved as otherwise the police would have arrested someone. But it was one hell of a row.”

It’s not the first time police have been involved in the couple’s fights. Bean, star of ITV1 drama Sharpe, was arrested on suspicion of assaulting his wife and kept in custody for six hours last July.

Georgina, Bean’s fourth wife, claimed her husband had assaulted her. He denied the allegation and said it was a domestic row that got out of hand. He was released on bail.

Georgina later called to say she was no longer prepared to pursue the case. She reportedly left Bean six weeks later but they got back together again.

Sheffield-born Bean also had a drink-fuelled fight with Georgina three years ago which left them both bloodied and bruised.

Security staff were called to Bean’s suite at a hotel in Los Angeles.

The hotel’s incident book recorded: “Ms Sutcliffe had numerous bruises on her upper body, face and scratches on her legs.”

Bean was bleeding from scratches to his face and arms.

In an interview last year Bean – who first met Georgina in 2003 when she was managing the bar at the West End theatre where he was playing Macbeth – said: “It’s all been blown out of proportion. Everything is fine between us.

“All this focus on my private life is the most unappealing aspect of being an actor. I don’t like it, but it goes with the territory. I certainly don’t set out to attract attention.”

A spokesman for Scotland Yard confirmed: “We were called to a house in Belsize Park on June 20 to reports of a disturbance.

“Our officers attended but no further action was taken.”
